Today, we will read two short passages and answer questions about them. But first, let us learn some helpful tips!

Tips for Reading Comprehension

Follow these simple steps when you read a passage:

Think about it: If a question asks "Where did Rani go?", look for a place name in the passage!

Read the passage carefully.

Every morning, I take Bruno for a walk in the park near our house. Bruno loves to run and play with a ball. In the evening, I give him milk and biscuits. Bruno wags his tail when he is happy. He is my best friend. I love Bruno very much.

They reached the garden at ten o'clock in the morning. The children played games like kho-kho and hide-and-seek. At lunchtime, everyone sat under a large banyan tree and ate their tiffin. Rani shared her sandwiches with Meena. After lunch, they sang songs together. They came back to school at four o'clock in the evening. Everyone was tired but very happy. It was the best day of the year!

Example: Answering in a Complete Sentence

Wrong way: Pune.

Right way: Arjun lives in Pune with his family.

Always try to write a full sentence. Use words from the question to start your answer.
