Our Body

Class 3

🎯 Learning Objectives

📖 Let Us Begin!

Our body is like an amazing machine! It can run, jump, think, see, hear, and do so many things. Every part of our body has a special job to do.

From the brain that helps us think, to the heart that pumps blood, to the legs that help us walk — every part works together to keep us alive and active.

Let us explore the wonderful human body!

External Parts of the Body

The parts we can see from outside are called external parts:

PartWhat It Does
HeadContains the brain; has eyes, ears, nose, mouth
EyesHelp us see
EarsHelp us hear sounds
NoseHelps us smell and breathe
MouthHelps us eat, speak, and taste
NeckConnects head to body; helps turn head
Arms and HandsHelp us hold, write, lift, and carry things
Legs and FeetHelp us walk, run, jump, and kick
ChestProtects heart and lungs inside

The Five Sense Organs

We have five special organs that help us understand the world around us:

Sense OrganSenseWhat It Helps Us DoExamples
👁️ EyesSightSee colours, shapes, people, thingsReading a book, watching birds
👂 EarsHearingHear sounds, music, voicesListening to teacher, hearing a bell
👃 NoseSmellSmell flowers, food, smokeSmelling a rose, detecting gas leak

🖐️ SkinTouchFeel hot, cold, soft, hard, rough, smoothFeeling ice (cold), fire (hot)
Five sense organs — sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch
Our brain receives messages from all five sense organs and tells us what is happening around us. If you smell smoke, your brain tells you there might be fire — run to safety!

Inside our body, there are important organs we cannot see:

KidneysLower back (two)Clean the blood; remove waste as urine
